I finally have images up. A couple of questions. How do I get only my web address to show instead of “http://visuimages.photodeck.com/”
I am only uploading jpegs of the files because it would take me days to upload high-res files. I don’t like how it shows the file size at the bottom, and it could be perceived that the file is only 2MB when we have a 100mb file on hand. How do I hide the file size or enter manually the file size?
Can I take the, “powered by photodeck” off the bottom corner?
To use your own web address, you need to: 1) configure the DNS settings for your address (with the company you purchased the domain from) so that your domain is a CNAME to “my.photodeck.com”, and then 2) edit the URL settings under My Website / URL, where you’ll see more details. Unfortunately we can’t do 1) on your behalf since we don’t have control over your domain, but we can help with 2).
You can hide the file size below the enlarged image: under the Style and Layout page, click on the main component (where images are displayed) and you will see a series of options, including one to hide the file size.
At this point, we don’t offer the option to remove the “Powered by PhotoDeck” link.
I am used to seeing the image size expressed with pixel dimensions and quality in dpi; can this be done for the image info, and with whatever displays with multiple sizes for sale?
In my previous site, I only had one size available (though they all varied from each other). That size was displayed, for example as 3698 x 5773 at 300 dpi.
This time, I would like to always upload the largest I have, and have that determine the upper price, and then have a few smaller sizes automatically created and available for less.
So, in the pricing profiles, if I set up a tier ofRF prices with 30 megapix and smaller, and the original is 10 megapix, will the smaller sizes always be a standard size, or will it just create two or 3 smaller ones based on number of megapixels? I saw that you have a choice of setting the smaller sizes, but it seems to make sense to have that calculated automatically based on the original.
What happens if your tier has, for example, a price for 20 MB, and a price for 30MB, but your loaded file is just below the 30MB? Would it default to 20 or 30 for the purposes of setting the high price?
The file sizes in th RF profiles are fixed, i.e. they do not depend on the original image size. So if you have prices for 20MB and 30MB and your original is 25MB, the biggest size shown will be 20MB.
Just a quick one. When I upload certain shoots I have been uploading them as small low res images (72dpi, 800 pixels max length) as proof images due to the amount of images.
I wanted to add a download option for Small JPEG’s and large JPEG’s, which would be bigger files than the proofs.
Once the customer had chosen the images they wanted to download I would then process them and then replace the proofs with the processed full size images.
Once payment had cleared the customer could then download the image.
Is there a way that I can offer the different size files available for download without uploading larger files in the first place?
Hey Dan, currently the system only offers for sale images that are big enough for what it being purchased, if the size is a parameter. But for e.g. RM licenses that don’t depend on size, you can upload proofs and replace the image upon ordering (and in that case, you’d need to enable manual validation of each order).
Hi Veronica, Until we add an option to completely remove the image info, try the following code in your custom CSS box (My Website / Style and Layout / General Style):
Can you please tell me how to add a full page slide show on my front page? Also, will you be adding the optiion to upload your own background any time soon?
You can add a slideshow to your frontpage (see our tutorial for a custom frontpage), but not fullscreen just yet. You can upload your own background via the Graphics Library (just like the logo) and you’ll be able to use is for any block/component of your website, or for the overall layout.

Can you break down the steps of how to configure the DNS settings so that my domain is a cname?
Where do you go to do that?
Done! We have created a new help page for this, right here.

Sorry if I am not making sense!
Sorry–such a newbie!

Hi there,
A basic q — is there a way to hide the ‘image info’ when you hover on the image?
Thanks!
Hi Veronica,
Until we add an option to completely remove the image info, try the following code in your custom CSS box (My Website / Style and Layout / General Style):
#ws_page media_overlay_content, #ws_page media_overlay_hint { display:none }
Can you please tell me how to add a full page slide show on my front page?
Also, will you be adding the optiion to upload your own background any time soon?
Thank you!
Tammy Smith
Hello Tammy,
